just an afternoon glimpse
And so the game begins when Cam and Elise both want the same chair. Cam wins the wrestling match, out-muscles Elise and climbs into the armchair. He beats his fist onto the arm and says in his deepest authoritative voice, “As president, I do hereby declare that this meeting is cancelled!”
Elise, in a way only a little sister can, starts taunting him. She mocks him saying, “Well, I declare that boys wear girlie panties” and ”I declare that Cameron is handsome” and “I declare that Cameron has a great haircut.” Now, the last two may sound like compliments, but coming from a little sister, these are definitely taunts. His aggravation is obvious.
So, poor Cameron tries to think of something better. He says, loudly, “I do hereby declare that little sisters are…..” and looks at me, searching for something that will cut to the core. I pinch my nose and make a ‘stinky’ face hoping he remembers how much she hates to be called stinky.
Cameron’s face lights up! He looks at Elise and says, “sisters are *pinches nose* crazy!”.
haha, ah well, maybe next time Cam.

Hello world!
Right now, I’m here to follow diary and a handful of others. Maybe, one day, I’ll use this forum to say what I want to say, to tell my story and his story. But, for now, I’m running to keep up with reading and discovering and connecting. These are the things I NEED. The wanting-for things will have to wait.
In way of explanation of the title I chose, Cameron is my son. In the beginning, he had his own language that only a few could understand…Cameronease. An example of cameronease would be ‘row’, which means ‘milk’. I became fluent in it. It’s amazing how quickly you can learn another language when your entire everything depends on it. His words are easily understood now, but his meaning is sometimes lost on others. Unless, of course, they speak Cameronease.
